Cameron kept running into the same thing around the Valley: businesses already using AI tools day to day — for customer emails, scheduling, drafting, research — without a clear picture of where that data actually went, what the vendor could do with it, or whether anyone was checking the output before it went out. Nobody had made a bad decision on purpose. Nobody had asked the questions yet.
That gap is what Valley AgentWorks exists to close: a real inventory of what's in use, a plain-language read on what Texas's new AI law actually requires, and a straightforward path to using these tools with confidence instead of guesswork.
The Rio Grande Valley shouldn't be left behind in AI adoption because businesses here are afraid to touch it, and it shouldn't get burned by adopting it carelessly either. Both outcomes are avoidable. The goal is to help Valley businesses learn how to use AI safely — so they can compete and grow with it, not sit out of it or get caught flat-footed by it.
